The legal framework that ensures your cargo moves safely and our promises stay solid.
1. Freight Liability and Limits
When you trust BURY DISTRIBUTION, INC. with your goods, we take that responsibility seriously. Our liability for loss or damage is generally governed by standard Bill of Lading terms unless otherwise negotiated in writing. We aren't responsible for losses caused by "Acts of God," strikes, or inherent vice of the cargo itself.
Have you considered additional cargo insurance? While we maintain professional standards, standard carrier limits may not cover the full replacement value of high-value electronics or fragile machinery. We strongly recommend discussing extended coverage with our agents before dispatch.
2. Shipping Delays and Transit Times
Transit times provided are estimates. While our drivers and dispatchers work tirelessly, factors like weather at the New York port or congestion on Broadhollow Rd are outside our direct control. We don't guarantee delivery by a specific hour unless a "Guaranteed Expedited" service level is purchased.
We'll always keep you updated through our tracking portal. If a delay occurs, we'll notify the primary contact on the manifest immediately. We're in this together.
3. Warehousing Responsibilities
For items stored in our facilities, BURY DISTRIBUTION, INC. acts as a bailee. We're responsible for exercising reasonable care. However, please note that insurance for the value of the stored goods remains the responsibility of the owner unless a specific warehouse legal liability rider is signed.
Is your inventory currently covered? Ensure your policy includes off-site storage to avoid coverage gaps during long-term transit pauses.
Note: These terms are subject to change. The version of the terms in effect on the date of shipment tender shall apply to that specific movement. For specific forwarding protocols, refer to Section 8 of our internal compliance manual.
